Diploma in Bible
Scripture Training Program
Unofficial title
The present Diploma in Bible, as a training program in Sacred Scripture, is offered within a framework of contextualized interpretation of biblical texts. This has given life to numerous religious movements that proclaimed the Kingdom of God in diverse historical contexts through a millennial process of readings and rereadings. The history of the effects of the various scriptural hermeneutics has installed interpretations in preaching, theology and pastoral praxis, producing in many occasions pretended common senses alien to the biblical text.
It is therefore necessary to return again and again to the biblical text. A return that will be all the more fruitful the more profound and systematic it is. Hence, the context of production of the biblical text, its contexts of transmission, its place in the canon and our current context of reading constitute some of the indispensable aspects to be considered in order to recover an attentive, rigorous and ethical reading of the Sacred Scriptures. The necessary return to the text will be, at the same time, the movement that will enable a new and liberating reinterpretation that will help us to respond to various current problems.
Who is the Diploma in Bible Studies for?
- Teachers working in the field of formal or non-formal education linked to institutions, organizations and communities identified with the Christian faith.

Synchronous activities consist of classes that are delivered via zoom in the format of videoconferences in which all students must participate at the same time. They will be held on Wednesdays every two weeks at 7:00 PM (ARG: 7:00 PM). The asynchronous sessions are made up of on-line work proposals such as participation in forums, work completion, video viewing, bibliography reading and collaborative tasks among students.
The participation in all these activities and the completion of the tasks involved demands a weekly dedication of approximately 4 hours (240 minutes) for each student. The outline of activities for each module is presented below:

At the end of each one of them, at the end of the eighth week, there will be two free weeks that will be dedicated to the completion of the concluding work of the module. The delivery of this work is the condition for the approval of each module. Its length will be between 3 and 5 pages and each teacher will give the respective instructions.
The Diploma in Bible is a pedagogical proposal of articulated, sequenced and integrated formation in Sacred Scriptures. However, each of the modules can be taken autonomously or independently, since there is no correlation between them. In this way, the integration of students will be favored at the beginning of each one.
In addition, it is established that the approval of the Diploma in Bible can be presented at the REET Foundation to approve by equivalence the subject "Introduction to Biblical Theology" in the framework of the Introductory Cycle of the future University Degree in Theology.
